I'm behind a proxy maybe this is the problem?

reiz commented 7 years ago

@ahoehma this is a duplicate to #80. It's fixed in the newest release 3.11.4.

reiz commented 7 years ago

@ahoehma This is fixed now. Version 3.11.4 is published on Maven Central. Please use the VersionEye Maven Plugin 3.11.4. If the issue still exists for you then please re open this ticket.

HariSekhon commented 7 years ago

I'm still having this issue with 3.11.4 specified in pom.xml and I'm not behind a proxy, any ideas?

reiz commented 7 years ago

@HariSekhon The exception above is related to an SSL issue. Most likely your JVM doesn't support the root cert. Which version of Java are you using? I guess it's more related to https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34110426/does-java-support-lets-encrypt-certificates.

HariSekhon commented 7 years ago

Strange, I've been using this Mac for years and set up versioneye on it originally, did you change your certs?

If this is the case I'll just import the ca cert in to the central jvm truststore, no big deal.

Thanks

Hari

reiz commented 7 years ago

@HariSekhon We are using certs from LetsEncrypt. They are always valid for 90 days and then new certs have to be issued. That means you would have to import our certs every 90 days. But Oracle Java 8u101 and higher is supporting the root certs from LetsEncrypt. If you are using a current version of the JVM you shouldn't have any issues.

HariSekhon commented 7 years ago

I was going to just import the CA cert that shouldn't require re-import every 90 days even if your cert is replaced every 90 days as the same CA should still be valid.

I've just checked my java is 1.8.0_91 on this mac, I might just do an update instead.

Thanks very much for the feedback on this.

HariSekhon commented 7 years ago

I've just upgraded but I get the same issue:

java -version
java version "1.8.0_141"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_141-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.141-b15, mixed mode)

and I still get this error:

Actually this does work, I just updated JAVA_HOME to the newer version not just the /usr/bin link and it works now.

reiz commented 7 years ago

@HariSekhon Awesome! Glad that it works for you :-)
