Daryl - I've been trying to send emails to you but I may have the wrong email address - can you please ping me? Thanks
I've looked around quickly, and I'm still fairly new to mod-lang-groovy, so maybe I'm wrong. To change Groovy version, you only need to change groovyVersion property in gradle.properties, don't you? If it's correct, I'm doing pull request on it.
I answer myself, it seems it's not so easy. When I put the 2.2.0 in gradle.properties, I'm unable to build, I get compile errors, on [Static type checking].
I'm going to try to see why
A pull request is done. Besides changing dependencies at gradle.properties, I corrected two minor undefined casting that made groovy static typing check fail at compile.

I guess this one can be closed now :)
You're the maintainer now, aren't you? =)
