Hardware wallet support does not currently work in Electrum-VTC.
What other means do we have to get our vertcoin off of a 24 word seed from a nano s with hundreds of transactions?
Basically I have used my nano s address for mining. I was completely unaware that doing so is not good. So trying to get the Ledger software to compile a transaction is impossible due to their servers. How can I go about putting a 24 word seed into electrum or core?
I think you can import it straight into Electrum-VTC. From the new wallet wizard select "I already have a seed", then "Options" and check the "BIP39 seed" box and click "OK". Then type in the seed and it should import.
ledger live is giving me a derivation of 44'/128'/0'/13 from the logs. I just tried what you said to do and I get the same result. The program is laggy when typing words and after trying to enter the seed the program just closes.
I think #112 is likely the fix. Are you sure the coin type is not 28? 128 would be for Monero.
This is what Ledger Live is showing me currently. Which is making it even more complicated trying to get the vertcoin over to core.
I have no idea why it would be showing 128 instead of 28.

I select hardware wallet, then nano s and click next the application sits for a second and then disappears. I have tried portable and installer and they both do the same thing.
edit: I wanted to add after selecting hardware wallet and clicking next the application goes into "Not Responding" before showing me the nano s selection. Windows 10 Pro
