Migrate Twitter API 1 to 1.1 #34

Hi,

Is there anyone here know how to migrate the Twitter API to 1.1? I cannot get any twitter feeds from twitter to Vertica after installing Sentiment Analysis

Hey,

Sorry for the delay -- we've actually decided to deprecate the Twitter connector in Vertica-Extension-Packages, and replace it with something that's newer/better/faster/stronger/etc. The new version has now been released:

https://github.com/vertica/Social-Media-Connector

Please let us know whether the new version meets your needs.

If you'd really like to keep the old version around, please re-open this issue with some detail about what you need that the new version doesn't provide. As always, pull requests are welcome :-)

If we don't get any more feedback, we will eventually remove this old version so that people only use the new one. (It will, of course, still be in the git repository's history.)
