For each session:

Send reminder email
Choose vote options for next meeting
Set up HackMD
Write up meeting summary and add to website
[x] Can @ninadicara show how to edit the Airtable, in particular want to add the ability to add more books for future reading groups
[x] Should we do another reading group, if so when and what book. Same format as before?
[x] How should we handle the writeups of the Miro stuff for reading groups @jessica-woodgate
[x] Are there any other things we want to work toward with DEC in the coming academic year, socials etc. Balance between demand and capacity to do it. Social maybe but not a priority?
[x] Should we make a habit of inviting authors to attend our discussions? I think that might be nice
[x] Might trial using Miro instead of HackMD for meeting notes, need feedback from @jessica-woodgate on how easy it is to use these for writeups. Could potentially just output the miroboard as a raw "writeup" if Jess is too busy
[x] But we should have introductions in the chat at the start because they're harder to find in the Miro Board? Copy and paste that into the Miro at the end.
[x] No more paper summaries in the advert
[x] Nina and Huw to edit website so updating is less work (potentially get JGI admin to do this)
[x] Books now added to the reading list option, we could encourage other people to run DEC Bookclubs. Organise one for the summer but encourage others to organise their own ones.
[x] Instead of us emailing people, we're gonna leverage JGI newsletter, JGI mailing lists and then send a welcome back email and encourage members to share invites to other people
[x] Socials mid term and put them as part of the schedule? Maybe online? Ideally low effort. DEC is social in itself.
[x] Maybe once per term we have a networking type, book end "Why are you here?" in first term, new year's resolution.
[x] Maybe in November we have that meeting. Bytes and Insights? Name TBC.
[x] Should we make a habit of inviting authors? Yes. But caveat introduce ourselves.
[x] Make sure voting suggestions should not just be Gen AI things and we keep varied and try to not exhaust us. And try to have more positive things (tools and "ethics in action")
[x] Shoutout reading list in the emails.
[ ] Collect a backup email list, both via email and in sessions.
[ ] Can we make a downloadable calendar invite for the website?
