Does not work with vBulletin-powered message boards #53

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to almost any message board that is powered by vBulletin
2. View thread

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is that text is replaced in the body of each post in a
vBulletin-powered message board. Instead, only those inside HTML coding and in
quote boxes have text replaced, while the text is not replaced in the body of
the posts.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using version 0.12.2. The problem is on both Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Please provide any additional information below.
This is an important problem, because many popular online message boards are
powered by vBulletin.

Reproduced. The problem is that the unreplaced text is in a blockquote and I
forgot to include this tag in the search XPath.

Fixed in r115.

I tried visiting a vBulletin forum again to see if it is indeed fixed.
However, the substitution within the blockquote does not work at all for me. I
am using Firefox 13. If it is indeed fixed for you, then you should set it so
that FoxReplace be updated automatically for other users, including myself.

It is fixed in the mentioned revision and it will be included in the next
release. I hope to upload this release to addons.mozilla.org some day in this
month (first I have to fix another bigger issue), and then, a few days later
(after a reviewing process) it should arrive to you.

Thank you. There is now the same problem (but with a different code) for the
XenForo-powered forums. See here:
