Viewing subject statistics

As a student, I need to see subject statistics (such as enrollment statistics, success rate and link to poll results) as I need to check which subjects are seemed useful and difficult.

system requirements

• Subject page should link to poll results of the subject and its teachers
• System should have access to student's number of attempts and his mark
• System should automatically generate the above mentioned statistics after each school year ends
• System must check everyday if the school year ended
• At least 3 years of statistics regardless should be rendered
• Anyone regardless of role should be able to see it
• Statistics should be rendered in a 2D table
• System should be able to handle edge cases, e.g. that the subject was not tought for a year

  Starting situation

  The school year has ended, for every student their number of attempts for each exam is recorded, together with whether they succeeded. All statistics including but not limited to success rate, enrollment count and average mark have been calculated and saved for the last 5 years.

Normal

1) Human searches for a subject whose description he wishes to see 2) Human opens the subjects page 3) Human sees subject statistics for the last 5 years

What can go wrong

• Missing data (student did not attempt the exam)
• A subject can not be tought for a year
• Subject ID has changed

System state on completion

• The system remembers one more year of statistics
• The human successfully sees the statistics he wanted to see
