Latest Frodo Nightlies break XOT-Uzg.v3 if started from the Home Screen #382

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
If you placed XOT-Uzg.v3 as a shortcut on the home screen, then if you run it
for the first time (or after an background update) it might freeze your XBMC
completely.

This is a bug in XBMC. See here:

and here:

Just for the record: after you ran it once from the Video -> Add-on's screen it
should run fine from the homescreen, until an XOT-Uzg.v3 update installed, then
you need to re-run it from the Video Add-on's screen again.

Please also post comments in the Trac issue of XBMC
(http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/13325), so they will fix this.

The bug is fixed in the nightly builds. So in it will hopefully make it into
the next monthly snapshot (Frode A7).

Have someone test this and make it work? I have just tested the Win7 Alpha 7
and the XBMCBuntu build from XBMC Freaks and for me it's still don't work?

Am I doing something wrong our what? Installed XBMC freash and XOT throu the
repository.

What is bot working? This bug caused a complete freeze of XBMC. This was fixed
and tested in A7.

Could you explain what is not working?

The XBMCBuntu build from XBMC Freaks is that Alpha 7? They are one number
wrong. Even if you see v7 in the release name
(xbmcbuntu-11.9-wsnipex-testing-v7.iso) it is not A7 because v5 was a broken
release that not worked to install so they released v6 but v6 is alpha 5.

Could you please attach a xbmc.log and an uzg(plugin).log for a case in which
XBMC crashed?
