www.urplay.se not working in XOT-Uzg #408

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
TV-programs from SVT are mostly shown at www.svt.se and it works fine, but some
good programs are instead available at www.urplay.se. The URPlay-site keeps
both TV and Radio-programs, but for me only the TV-programs are of great
interest.

I have an Raspberry Pi running XBian.

The URPlay is already in XOT-Uzg.v3. Please double check and let me know if
that is OK.

Hello, thanks for your fast replay. :)

I cannot find URPlay in any program header. I have xot-ugz.v3 version
3.3.2.

Sorry, my fault. Now I found it "Sveriges Utbildningsradio". I found
under a place I didn't recognize earlier. Unfortunately it doesn't work
properly. No playing but my system got totally locked. You can delete
this post I suppose. It should be reported as a defect instead, if it not
has been already..

XOT-Uzg.v3 does not lock-up your XBMC. Try again and attach a complete
uzg(plugin).log file here.

There is indeed an issue with this channel. I fixed it. Could you try the
attached file?

I now have got the .py-file on an usb-stick. But I don't know how to apply
it to my box. I only know how to add .tar-files. If you please can give
me an instruction I will give it a try.

Just use ftp over SSH onto your Pi and then replace the existing file in the
addons/net.rieter.xot.channels.se/urplay/ folder.

Sorry I am not hacker, I am not able to do it without further, more
detailed, instructions. I really want to try but I am not skilled
enough... Please help me.

What xbnc are you running? Raspbmc or Openelec?

Original comment by basrie...@gmail.com on 10 Jan 2013 at 3:10

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I think it is Openelec. The problem is that i don't feel at home with this
Linux-dist at all. (I am used to Mint)
I can come into the XBian system via ssh, but I can't find where the
xot-uzg files are placed. If You can tell me the path to xot-uzg I think I
can manage the file substitute with the usual unix-commands from a terminal
window (via ssh).

Otherwise I have to wait for the release of next, upgraded version of
xot-ugz.

/Sven

Just find your XBMC user data folder and it should have a
addons/net.rieter.xot.channels.se/urplay/. Or just do a search for
net.rieter.xot on the whole file system.

Now I have succeeded to move the file from my USB-stick to its right place,
(~/.xbmc/addons/net.rieter.xot.channel.se/urplay/) After that I run chmod
644 to the file, so it looked as the previous file did. I rebooted the
XBian for sure and tried to play a program from urplay. The program list
shows up but when I try to start a program, the loading procedure starts as
it should, but is *very* short (2sec?) and then nothing more happens.
Sorry, it still doesn't work for me. But it was no hang or crasch.

Please provide me an uzgplugin.log after you tried to play an item. It's
located in ~/.xbmc/addons/net.rieter.xot.

I can see the program list now but the programs won't start. Here you have the
log files...

Damn, typoo in the file, missed a line when reverting the code changes that
belong to the next XOT-Uzg.v3. Please try this version.

The script for UR Play is no longer working since website was updated last
Wednesday 30th january.
I can contribute to a new "chn_urplay.py". How do I submit an update? Is there
any source code repository? (svn, git)
