subtitles turned off but remains #420

I have the subtitle turned off but it does remain still displayed.

its only only with uitzdindinggemist.nl(ned1, ned2, ned3)

my system: raspberry pi(b) OpenELEC Version:2.99.5 (3.0 RC 5)

It is a known issue and will be fixed in 3.3.4 (to be released soon)

Hi, I got the latest version of Xot-uzg (3.3.4). But when I disabled the 
subtitles in the settings, I still see subtitles (When I use 'Uitzending 
gemist'). Is this problem really fixed?

Any answer to my previous question? Did you double check that the subtitles 
were not embedded in the video?

It looks like it's not embedded in the movie.
I only have this problem when I am using the 'uitzending gemist' (not with the 
mobile version). For example you can try the stream of 'DWDD university'.

Do you have enough information or should I send a full log?

Always post complete log files, never parts that you copy-paste. There is much 
more info in the files than in those couple of lines. Besides that, 
copy-pasting makes it very hard to read.

So please attach a full log file or post a full log file on paste in.com.

Ok, this is the full log uzg.log file (I have deleted the log file before I 
reproduce the problem)

Ok, I see. It was apparently only fixed in the Video Add-On version and not in 
the Program Add-On version. 

You can fix it easily by switching to lines in the chn_class.py:

  xbmcPlayer.showSubtitles(showSubs)
  xbmcPlayer.setSubtitles(srt)

into

  xbmcPlayer.setSubtitles(srt)
  xbmcPlayer.showSubtitles(showSubs)

make sure that you do not change the identation of the whitespaces (they should 
be spaces and the number should not change) or the file will be corrupt.

Besides that: I would really encourage you to switch to the Video Add-On 
version (both get installed if you installed it via the repository), because 
the Program Add-On version will soon be discontinued.
