Can not play downloads from Uitzendinggemist (extension missing)

What channel are you trying to watch?
Uitzendinggemist (not mobile)

What episode are you trying to watch?
Any episode from 'Keuringsdienst van waarde', 'Benali boekt' or 'blik op de 
weg' from 2013. I did not test older episodes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I downloaded an episode (XOT:Download), but file does not show up when I go to 
the folder using Videos-Files. It appears the saved video has no extension and 
is therefore not recognized as a video by XBMC.
Adding an .mp4  extension using ssh fixed the problem.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download any episode from UZG (not mobile)
2. Try to play the video using Videos-Files
3. File is not listed

What version of XBMC are you using? On what operating system?
Openelec 3.0.0/XBMC 12.1 on RPi.
XOT plugin 3.3.4

Please provide any additional information below.
I changed the urlhandler.py script to 
- add .mp4 when no extension is present
- propose a default temporary folder for saving that it wipes on download
- present a play-now dialog when download is finished.
