Is the debian-split-config the preferred install method on debian? #201

From our readme:

Typically, Debian setups use split Exim configuration with some Debconf magic. This manual will assume that you are familiar with it. If not, you should refer to the Debian documentation on Exim.

We have a single exim4.conf-file and the vexim-acl-* which just need to be copied into the /etc/exim4-folder. I think this is much easier than getting familiar with Debconf "magic"! It's a great option for advanced users but for first time users, it's just a nightmare and has no benefits.

Well, once we have a Debian package prepared, this should be much easier.

Also, nobody prevents Debian users from using the single config file. These debianisms in the manual are an attempt to help those who want their Vexim to blend as much as possible with the Debian environment.

Regarding the "preferred install method": upon installation, the admin is asked whether or not they want split config. Either way (I think) both config variants are generated, but only the selected one is used. I guess we could say there's 50/50 chance or split and monolitic configs.

Sure, you can do both. But in the first section, you won't find anything regarding debian or other Linuxes which rather use /etc/exim4...
