Changing channel numbers in DisqueTV does not update channel number or order in TiviMate #55

Heya, I'm not certain if this is an issue with DizqueTV or a bug with the Android TV app TiviMate, but wanted to mention it here.

I have 7 channels. I changed the number of the channels by editing each channel one by one in the DizqueTV UI.

With my new channel order, I updated my playlist and updated the EPG in TiviMate. The order didn't take. It showed the wrong EPG for each channel, and the channel order was wrong.

I eventually deleted the playlist and readded it from scratch, and the EPG for each channel was right, but the channel order was still wrong.

The channels are currently still wrong in TiviMate. They're ordered by when the channel was originally created, with the most recently created channel at the bottom.

I've seen the same in Plex. I swapped two channels in dizqueTV, and I couldn't get the change to go down to Plex. Even deleting and re-adding the DVR in Plex didn't help. It wasn't until I deleted and recreated those two channels in dizqueTV did the swap occur.

This issue seems to be on the dizqueTV side. However, with a workaround, this isn't a showstopper. It's just a nuisance, especially as our channel lineups grow larger and we want to make subtle ordering tweaks.

Ideally, this bug should be resolved with an enhancement request to make it easier to reorder channels. I don't know if this would involve changing the number to another and having the other channel auto-change to the one that was just changed... or if it would involve a drag-and-drop interface for rearranging channels. I will leave this for the dev(s) to ponder.

For the time being, you could use a middleman like xTeVe, which makes it pretty easy to reassign channel numbers.

Unsure if this is a tivimate/plex issue with detecting new channels. I use xteve as a middle man and I have exactly the same issues. I got used to just readding the xteve tuner whenever I want the channels to actually update.
