I'm having the same issue... Apearently what is causing this is an API change on Youtube's side. Since the app hasn't been updated in two years, people are migrating to other similar apps that use Youtube Music's library or Vimusic forks such as RiMusic, Innertune, Musify, SimpMusic, etc. (Great apps, by the way).

Still, Vimusic remains my final choice... Fortunately, I found a fork that fixes these issues maintaining the app unchanged. If you are interested, you can find it here.

Is it safe have you faced any issues after using it?

It is safe, and it works flawlessly. I even forgot it was a forked version of the main app. Just make sure you have a backup of your database (you can get it on the app's settings) so you don't have to start from scratch when installing the app.

Check out this fork of ViMusic. It's very well done. Not too overloaded and keeps the simplicity of ViMusic, unlike some other forks.
