Bobbob showed us a technique to convert a spring ball bounce in Tourian Eye Door Room into a mockball through the door, which allows getting through Ice Beam Gate Room:

This is done by unequipping Spring Ball on a certain frame when landing. The technique could probably have many other applications. In order to use it in a cross-room strat, we would need a way to encode that spring ball may need to be unequipped through the transition, which means it would not be compatible with strats that need to do a bounce soon after the transition.
