Opening Crates and Lockers with Thermite and Mining Equipment #18248

Crates are a tough nut to crack. Having to resort to explosions and engineering equipment to open crates really just encourages people to cause havoc, there should be a more discrete way of opening crates. Also, most of mining equipment is a bit redundant seeing as how the diamond drill trumps almost all of them, but having one of them, (like the plasma cutter) open crates would give people a reason to use them.

Crates are anything but tough to crack. Mech drills, emitters, lasers, explosions of any flavour, goats, bullets and if you are truly desperate, an ID with the correct access opens crates. Cargo had shuttle crushing crates nerfed for a reason

Ah, in that case move goats next to shuttle smashing as things cargo used to trivialise locks until removed

oh, so these things have hit points or durability or something like that? I didn't know that. I though you either opened the crate all in one go or you didn't open them at all.
