Description

It's possible to see the big circle that appears on a cultist when they're using the communicate rune though a wall. At least as an AI.

Steps to Reproduce

Follow that cult dude that was laying runes under a camera. See him duck into the topmost bathroom by lockers. Oh hey what's up with that circle thing.

Note I don't know if it works with regular cameras or regular sight but it probably does. note 2: cultist rune casting is really bright and obvious and I feel like it makes it really easy to spot them even if you're just floating around the station as AI/flicking through cams as sec

How does AI static work exactly?

From the sound of it, it probably does not work with regular camera computers since AI vision works completely differently.

I think it may be because it's drawn outside the turf bounds.

I've never looked it over personally but I've heard it involves just throwing an overlay on top of the turfs which is why you can right click to see under it (also a major bug)

Yeah it's that Static isn't a factor in this example because the walls around the bathrooms are visible.

what happened to silicons not being able to tell runes from regular blood splats?

Gone with Cult 3. The issue is that even if they see runes as blood splatters, other effects and cult structures will still appear as such. Either way it shouldn't be a problem since every cultist gets told to build away from cameras not because of people checking security cams computer but of silicons.
