Description

1. Pass out in space faster than people despite being cold and air pressure resistant. 2. Take 5x heat damage. 3. Heal from trying to suicide.

2. Go into space. 2. Shoot yourself with a laser. 3. Type suicide.

1. Dionaea aren't cold resistant insofar as I know, celthothermia gets us all

2. Dionaea take more burn damage, that's part of their 'balance'

The suicide thing is a really old bug but it was definitely fixed at one point Wonder how it broke again

EDIT: Actually I'm thinking of succumb Not sure if just suicide ever did behave differently from this

Diona can succumb and live because they don't breathe.

OK so that happens again? Because that was fixed long ago by making succumb instantly kill you instead of just dealing oxy damage to get you to 200

As for shooting yourself with a laser, if you aren't aiming for the head and getting the custom oneshot on every species, there's still the type of laser used and point blank bonus to think of. Captains laser I could see oneshotting or at least hard critting a diona.

I think dionae take 2.5 times burn damage, which would make the captain's laser instacrit them

Caps laser is the best weapon outside of the pulse rifle. It deals laser cannon damage and is self recharging.

(Can you replace power cells in guns? I see that in the cell file that the power cells in those weapons have their own special cells, but can you swap them out for something like a hyper cell?)

I believe captain's laser deals 40 and laser cannon deals 60, but yes, the captain's laser is definitely good And IIRC while in the code the guns have internal cells, they can't be replaced because it would be absurdly broken to be able to just stick a hyper cell into a laser and never run out of shots You can replace the cell in a stunbaton though

Naa, Everything is wrong.

2. Take 5x heat damage. And die instantly from any laser when it used to be 2.5x

When you sign up for diona you even get the message:

You are a plant, so light is incredibly helpful for you, in both photosynthesis, and regenerating damage you have received. You absorb radiation which helps you in a similar way to sunlight. You are incredibly slow as you are rooted to the ground. You do not need to breathe, do not feel pain, you are incredibly resistant to cold and low pressure, and have no blood to bleed. However, as you are a plant, you are incredibly susceptible to burn damage, which is something you can not regenerate normally.

Dionae are resistant to cold damage, not the effects of cold. Dionae shot at range still take 2.5 times burn damage. I assume you took more due to being hit point blank, as happens if you shoot yourself.

Are you serious? States incredibly resistant in the cold, and low pressure of space. Their whole concept is space plants. Not go into space and pass out in 10 seconds. Faster than a human. Where before you could be out in space for 2-3 minutes before dropping into crit.

They pass out in exactly the same amount of time as a human, in my testing Yeah, it would make sense if they were resistant to hypothermia as well as cold damage, but in his infinite wisdom, Celt never actually made a mechanism to change how hypothermia affects different species
