This has been the case since the dawn of time. Or at least since Goonlights. Not sure whether or not it happened before that. Wasn't really fixable back then. Shouldn't be hard to fix now but nobody's bothered.

It's been like that forever, long before goonlights. At least since 2013. Now that there's an hide ghosts button we should be able to control both individually.

The only problem with that is that it also hides the spawning spots for bomberman arenas.
