(Feat Requests) Traitor Muffs #30039

(WEB REPORT BY: dakkanob REMOTE: 206.221.180.138:7777) Idea: Cheap "Greytide-like" item that allows you to force another player to do your will for a time. It would be a headset earmuffs with one channel, and a radio for that channel. The headset earmuffs can't be removed without help, and the traitor who purchased them can detonate them at any time, removing the head of whoever's wearing them. Knowing this, the victim will be forced (possibly through a jectie as well until they come off or some shit) to do the traitor's will (likely making the person divert attention to themselves and putting the validhunter's heat on them instead of the antag). I would imagine it would be cheaper then something like a greytide/cheaptide because they are a victim and not an ally, and the moment the headset comes off they're likely to get revenge, or atleast spread the word.

the idea is to set up a saw-like scenario where you're giving someone orders like "tell the hos he's a stinky poopman or your head will be exploded"

That would only work on players ready to invest themselves in high RP and have their character be of the submissive type (so yeah it's kind of a fetish feature request). Since it's up to the player to obey the traitor or not, that means it's perfectly valid for them to just "say ";Urist MacTraitor has put muffs on me, I'm in telescience, please clone my body when I die"" which I'd most likely do personally, before just committing suicide. Antag Borers didn't work for the exact same reason (in fact they're almost the exact same mechanic except they're inside you).

The only way to "force" players to go along with you is to have them become antag as well under your leadership, and well, that's precisely what greytide implants already do. You could both greytide/explosive implant someone if you wanted to do this gimmick without the need for a new item.
