Tones down the mouse plague #36685

It did make for a disease that wrecked the station for once, at least. There hasn't been a disease like that since shortly after the virus update came out.

Considering: Symptom blacklist to prevent the super deadly ones from appearing.

I observed the round shortly after playing one of the plague mice and the virologist (who quickly dropped everything and went to Virology even as the AI bolted it down) did not even have enough time to synthesize a cure before the stage 4 symptom at the time kicked in and killed him. I want to encourage it being easily beatable with prompt treatment, not encourage speedrunning curing the disease the instant the plague mice start infecting people in a haste. The only situation where I'd like to keep the progression speed as is would be one where the extremely deadly "instant kill" symptoms are blacklisted, because a disease won't really spread if it kills all its victims too fast, and it wouldn't make as much sense to be able to spread in space so much as a result. I am, however, still on the fence about removing the ability to infect hardsuits, because on one hand it can infect medical hardsuits and on the other hand it's about the only thing threatening certain species with permanent hardsuits and internals.

Not enough of a nerf IMO. Even 5min is too short if you're dealing with the suicide plague; a patient would have to teleport to medbay and have viro start a cure immediately to have a chance to survive. Making it 10min or so might be more reasonable. Coupling the short time to reach stage 4 with the doubled chance of symptoms showing each tick is incredibly strong.

At first they came for the grues, and I didn't speak out cause I'm not a grue. Then they came for pulse demons, and I didn't speak out cause I'm not a pulse demon. Then they came for the funny plague mice... And there was no one to speak for them.
