@CINO-DE we discussed this together, hope I captured the spirit
I have a gut feeling about this idea: There should be a reasonable way to mix this with real-world progress (i.e. dexterity increases may require you to work on different parts of the code base) and if we could do that, having a (more or less complicated) system of fairly isolated numbers would be a waste of a potentially really strong idea. :)
Currently one gold and XP are possible rewards and "character stats". It would be cool to have a simple attribute-based system that allows for more variety with artefacts, quests and rewards as well as customization options.
Example: with character creation a randomized set of attributes (e.g. the very basic attributes courage (COU), intelligence (INT), charisma (CHA), dexterity (DEX), strength(STR)) is generated that is modified by the chosen class/race-combination as well as player decisions. These values can be raised by a fixed amount (say, 1 or 2 points) whenever a new level is reached. Loot items have basic requirements that correspond with these values, e.g. a "Staff of Light" needs a high INT or an axe needs a high STR.
This would increase game feedback complexity and further motivate the players and it would simply be cool.
