Hey Nick, You can see any airspace floor & ceiling by clicking on it on the map. Knowing that do you still think that the 500ft increment is valuable ? (It is doable but I am not sure to understand the exact use case).
To be honest yes, I mainly fly in the UK which has very complex airspace and being able to check the various heights on the map by selecting the possible thermal heights is very useful. for example where I live has airspace at 3500ft but really close it goes down to 3000ft and if I'm lucky i can get to the 4500ft airspace giving me more options. so being able to select various height allows me chose a route at a glance. XCplanner allowed me to do this, but as you know it no longer has airspace, thanks for your quick reply Nick
Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense.
I have the floors stored in kilometers for now but I'll changed that to meters next time I update the airspaces so that it's possible to have finer steps in the height selector (i.e. 500 ft).
I'll leave this issue opened until the fix is deployed - probably in a month or so.
Thanks
Great app, and we really do need the feet levels in the UK. Its complex here. Really would appreciate that. Thanks for your efforts. Also another suggestion, would it be possible to add a 'GPS location' button as a turnpoint? That way, if you are on the hill, you can add a start location and then click on a goal.
@Kennywpara
would it be possible to add a 'GPS location' button as a turnpoint?
It should be easy to implement. I'll work on that in the coming weeks. Thanks for your feedback
Great app but the airspace height have been done in meters (airspace is in feet ) here in the UK we have to negotiate round airspace that is even lower than 1000m would it be possible to have airspace from 0ft and going up in the correct increments which is usually 500ft
thanks Nick
