The SJRRP increases environmental water releases into the San Joaquin River. Associated with this are reductions in releases to CVP contractors via Madera and Friant-Kern canals. These reductions need to be implemented in the model, but currently are not.
The reductions could be either:
approximated based on visual inspection of reservoir performance (i.e., through some kind of manual calibration of percent reductions), or
through implementation of logic--simplified as able--outlined in the SJRRP guideline (version 2.1)
