Guys,

have we decided what sort of app we are wanting to make? java servelets, nodejs, ruby on rails?

vicki and I have discussed making this with nodejs ("https://nodejs.org/en/"). Does that sound like something people would like to learn? If so, we should probably start by doing tutorials and each making a hello world webpage with nodejs. then we can start designing our app around what we know. what does everyone think?

I have no idea what java servelets are and have only briefly heard about ruby on rails. nodejs looks great to me since it sounds fairly simple and basic.
