Communications can happen via grabbing me (Victor - Distributed Web T-shirt) in the physical space (Fab Lab that is) or writing in IRC, #ipfs-barcelona at irc.freenode.net. You can also use the webchat if you don't have a IRC client: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=%23ipfs-barcelona&uio=d4

Alternatively you can use matrix + riot to access IRC (which hope it looks like more like slack/whatsapp/telegram)

as I see, the IRC room is registered, so it can be integrated with matrix [1] so we can improve it to a "public visibility", or replicate that IRC channel across decentralized matrix server ecosystem

@pedro-nonfree anything I have to do to be able to integrate with matrix? Should work already as far as I understand

Right now matrix channel looks like #freenode_#ipfs-barcelona:matrix.org

The idea is to create a matrix channel (with a matrix user) and perform an integration to Freenode/#ipfs-barcelona so you can have a real matrix room with aliases like: #ipfs-barcelona:matrix.org and #ipfs-barcelona:otherservers.org for example #ipfs-barcelona:matrix.guifi.net

After that you can do (copy paste):

WHO CAN ACCESS THIS ROOM?

Only people who have been invited Anyone who knows the room's link, apart from guests Anyone who knows the room's link, including guests

Publish this room to the public in 's room directory? WHO CAN READ HISTORY?

Anyone Members only (since the point in time of selecting this option) Members only (since they were invited) Members only (since they joined)

... to do an integration click Manage integrations -> IRC (select channel and operator) and you will receive a message confirming if you want to integrate (after that you can cancel it when you want)
