Hey Victoria, here is the post I read:

http://victoriachuang.github.io/blog/c4-tech-issues.html

I love the styling of your blog and how well your blog post flows. It feels like you are just speaking it which is what a blog should be all about. I'm sorry to hear that you've faced such discrimination and that is so sad to hear. I hope that your family has had at least some change in attitude since.

For solutions, have you heard of Hackbright Academy that is a bootcamp geared specifically for women? Then there is railsbridge.org that give free dev workshops to females. Actually just today I talked to someone trying to find more female instructors for their classes (would be less awkward with so many male instructors). I think these programs are in-line with your final comments to slowly change the perception that certain people must fall into certain molds. Coincidentally I also happened to talk to an Asian girl soon to graduate that is strongly considering branching off to tech, so perhaps the interest and opportunities are getting to that demographic.

Also, your clip link is broken, as it looks like you included the blog site address along with the Youtube address.

Great post!

Hi Gabriel, thanks for the feedback! I've applied to Hackbright too, and although I love their mission of fostering female talent, I've heard programmers refer to Hackbright as "the girls' one" and "the less legit one."

Thanks for the bug catch! I've fixed it now!
