BUG: Dynamic ESS not in Node-RED mode (undefined) #128

What happened?

I installed/imported the new flow. But it does not want to start.

The inject did not work:

When did it happen?

And does manually clicking on that box next to "Enable Dynamic ESS (mode: Node_RED)" help?

Not sure how I can reproduce this. What is your VRM or site id?

Now reverting to old firmware. Let's see if I get dess back.

Now on v3.22, no luck. It all seems kinda broken now (no dynamic things going on) . Not sure what steps to take.

All my Dynamic ESS menu options seem to have disappeared. It's not in ESS, I remember Dynamic ESS being there. Also it's not on the online VRM portal, though I am not sure it ever was there.

It used to work, it feels like the updates messed things up. Appreciate all the help I can get.

I got it fixed on your site. For some reason the Victron Energy Client configuration node was not there. Added that one to your Node-RED installation.

Now for me to figure out how that happened and prevent it from happening again.

Thanks that looks much better 😻.

It might have been the installing-of- fetch-dynamic-ess without having the dashboard reqs there. It messed everything up. I also deleted all (afaik) and reinstalled the dashboard package/stuff, and deleted all flows and all nodes in "on all dashboards" before re-importing. Did that twice or thrice actually, only the last time I also did a reboot of NR after install of dashboard stuff.

Feel free to close this issue, for me this is fixed :) -- Or leave open for your debugging 😀

Victron Energy Client configuration

Hi, what node is "Victron Energy Client configuration node"? Something in the VRM interface? Most probably I'm having the same problem... Unable to activate dynamic ESSmode 4, it results in the error code on the right hand side in below screenshot.

I'm on fw v3.30 - 11 with a Multiplus II 48/3000/35-32 GX

Easiest solution is to drag another Victron node into the canvas, press deploy once and then it should appear.
