Our team first talked about leftover topics from the previous meeting. Vidya had an issue with a merge conflict that removed some markup that made her Medea document invalid against the schema. We tried to figure out what happened and why as well as what we can do to fix it. Since Caroline said that she fixed the problem the first time, she can fix it again. Cherina also talked about how there were extra speaker elements where they shouldn't be, which was making her document invalid against the schema. Richa said that she could modify the schema to accomodate these changes.

Then, we began taking stock of the time we had left, deadlines, and what we could accomplish until then. On Friday, April 29th we have our final project due and on April 22, we have to prepare for the project showcase.

We reviewed requirements for the reading view, what we wanted, and what we needed. Here is what we spoke about:

There were also a few loose ends that we should finish off by next week:

The tasks that we should finish off by next week generally are:

Finally, we talked about some ways to generally facilitate finishing off with the best product we can:

You guys are really organized! It seems like everyone has a very clear task that is manageable but makes a lot of progress in your project, especially on the web presence front. I definitely like the idea of using somewhat dark colors with darker accents. I think that the color scheme you guys are going for matches the tone of the project. Also, I find darker color schemes to generally be easier on the eyes, which may lead to longer engagement from people visiting the site. I'm looking forward to seeing how the website comes out in the coming weeks. On that note, why did you choose the Shakespearean Insults site as inspiration? I know you mentioned the color scheme, check boxes, and informational elements, but why did you want to incorporate these things from the site specifically? I am asking because I also really like the design of the Shakespearean Insults site and I am interested in learning what drew others to it.

I like the idea of the side/ split screen view and the side bar.. i think that'll make your project very clean looking and simple to read for the viewer! Also dark purple/ maroon are very pretty, nice colors for the website! are they themed/ related to the Greek tragedies vibe? or just bc it looks good? (which is valid bc i mean purple is quite a nice color). Excited to see how your page turns out!
