Gets stuck in places and won't return to game.

Sometimes when playing these games, the screen will go blank. When this 
happens, if you press enter/return, some text will appear that will usually 
tell you to press space to continue. If you press space, the screen will go 
blank again.

I was playing anchorhead and got the history book in the library. When I tried 
to read it, this happened. This way I have read the book, but now cannot leave 
it. I really don't want to restart my game again (the same thing has happened 
previously and on different games as well).

What is the expected output or behavior?  What do you see instead?
I'm supposed to be able to leave the book to continue. Instead all I can do is 
read the book.

What version of Frotz are you using?
I'm pretty sure it's the most recent version

What device model are you using (e.g., iPhone 5, iPhone 3GS, iPad 4, iPod
Touch 4th gen.)
Ipad 

Please provide any additional information below.
I have had to delete this app and download it again to fix this in the past. I 
really love this app and don't want to do that again.

Actions like reading books in Anchorhead take you to a menu system which is 
very much like the hint system in most games and implemented using Inform 
library routines.  As such, you should be able to press Q to exit from this 
state, even if the display is messed up and nothing is telling you that you 
can.  (Some games tell you to press ESC to exit, but there's no way to type 
escape on an iPad.)

Can you try this and see if it works for you?
