Icons for Genealogy

First off, thankyou very much for the available icons. They were just what I 
wanted. I am wondering if anyone would be able to come up with something for 
use in the genealogy area. The family icon was good, but something with a white 
instead of yellow background colour would be great. This way the colour could 
be changed to represent different family groups.

Hi Elisabeth,

Thanks for your positive feedback!  Not being native English speaker (I'm 
Swedish) I had to Google "genealogy" to understand what it was...  In this 
project we use color to define what type of icon it is so I can unfortunately 
not honor the request of changing the background.  What I might be able to do 
is to introduce more icons with the yellow background to represent different 
branches of the family tree, like Man, Woman, Child, Old Man and Old Woman, but 
I understand this will not help you all the way.

An option for you might also be to use the number/letter icons found here 
[http://code.google.com/p/google-maps-icons/wiki/NumericIcons] since they are 
in different colors?

Elizabeth, our new site http://mapicons.nicolasmollet.com/ now allows color 
customization, like you wanted.
