cert warning were causing some frictions in the process last night. So I'm going to get let's encrypt working on it's own. This task is done when I have a let's encrypt cert ready to use for prod.

Using this site to set up let's encrypt: https://hackernoon.com/easy-lets-encrypt-certificates-on-aws-79387767830b

This looks interesting, and they already have a let's encrypt tutorial that seems more current: https://bitnami.com/

decided against bitnami because it is a paid service. This MAY be useful to outsource to once I get the initial config set up, but for now I'm proceeding to use AWS https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/ec2-instance-access-s3-bucket/ to set up the s3 bucket to work with cloudflare.
