BEF is using a 2-Factor-Auth plugin that has an incompatibility with the Yii Debug bar.
The debug bar is creating a request before the 2FA step is completed, which then logs the user out.
I'm planning on submitting a fix to the plugin author, but this will provide a short term fix.
