Pictures become white

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a mindmap
2. Add pictures by drag and drop into a bubble
3. Save the file; and open it again another day.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The picture is supposed to remain on the mindmap; but somehow, the pictures
randomly dissappear and there is no way to recover them besides re-copying
new images and deleting the "blank" square.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Windows XP English

I find xmind3 very powerful, and I first need to congratulate you on the
great work.

However, I have run across one major disfunction... 

I have inserted images (various formats), representing company logos, in my
mindmaps.

I have been saving the file and editing it, saving it again, moving the
file and copying it to a public shared folder on our windows network.. and
opened it again, edit it.. everything worked fine.... UNTIL  it would
somehow SOMETIMES not display the images anymore.

The images are still on the mindmap (i can click on their white "space" and
the blue lining goes around the image "box"), but I can not see the image.
it's just plain white. By clicking or "reset size" in the property folder,
I thought it would bring the picture back to life; but instead it makes the
selection blue square become  a single dot. 

I think I have lost all the pictures... and I have to add them all over
again?! 

It has happened quite a few times already and I can not seem to understand
why. Image types are jpeg, png, gif.. and none of them are being displayed.

I can not efficiently use the software for my needs if I have to re-inserts
the images every other day.

glad to help in assisting you to narrow the source of the problem.

I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 English and jre1.5.0_05 and jre6 are 
both on
my Program Files folder

Hello 

I have the same problem.
After analysis, in the archive, the backup directory "attachments" disappears 
for 
some reason inexplicable ... but it happened a few times in making complex maps.
My system: Windows XP SP2
XMind Version: Version: 3.1.1

This afternoon, happened to me, and I copied the directory "attachments" 
contained 
in the archive ".Xmind" from a backup file ".Xmind" yesterday.

If my comment can identify the problem.
In any case .... is a great product .... Thank you to the team

Hi there,
Same problem here using 3.1.1. And it is not only images, but all other 
attachments
suddenly disappear. I even had to refrain from using xmind for new maps where I 
know
in advance that it shall contain attachments, and will be frequently edited by
several people.
