Manual proxy settings ignored when searching for updates #144

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In Prefs / Network Conns, set a manual proxy server (with
authentication) up.
2. Attempt to "Check for updates"
3. Attempt fails.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect either a "list of updates available" dialog or a "no updates
available" pop-up. Instead, an error pop-up indicates that the network
connection attempt failed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using XMind 3.1.1 on Windows XP Professional, SP3.

Please provide any additional information below.

Confirmed the problem with Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) - packet trace
shows direct connection attempts to IP address 72.44.37.239, instead of
going through the proxy server.

can you sign in successfully? or upload the map? If not, I guess there are
something
wrong in your settlement.

What doc do I need to gather to convince you that there's a problem here? Have
you actually tested it behind a proxy (not a transparent proxy, an
authenticating proxy)? I'm willing to gather and upload the doc, if you're
willing to look at it. I don't think that "signing in" anywhere is required to
check for code updates, nor should it be, especially for an open source app...
I don't think that you actually read my original problem description at all...
