What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a web browser from page www.youtube.com
2. Open Xmind and drag an video thumbnail to xmind
3. or select right clik with mouse on thumbnail and select copy image
and open xmind and right click with mouse on sheet and select paste
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to have the video thumbnail image be seen in Topic and the
hyperlink would be in thumbnail so that it opens it in web browser when
double clicked.
Instead i see a web address http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/d9X5vqiMDkY/default.jpg
when selecting paste or address http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=lIbkFamE23Y&feature=popular when dragged thumbnail from external web-
browser.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using XMind Pro version 3.0.3 and JavaSE 6 and Windows XP
Please provide any additional information below.
In many cases the thumbnail image from web is enough for my MindMaps. the
full size images only slow down XMind.
This problem of Drag-n-drop thumbnails can be rounded by
1. Open a web-Browser, www.youtube.com
2. Rigth Clik the video thumbail and select Save image as and select folder
3. Open xmind select topic and select Insert->image->image and find the
saved image. And now we have the thumbnail.
4. in addition you can add the hyperlink of the video thumbnail by
A)Click the video thumbnail in web browser and the clip opens, and copy
the http address.
B) Go to the xmind select topic , select hyperlink from popup or (press
Ctrl+H) and paste the hyperlink address.
It works in this way too but it would be easier and faster to have drag and
drop support described earlier.
