constant notification on phone #320

I am using the standard gmail and android client on these channels. I the past 
if i replied or joined the room on the desktop client the notifications from 
the android client stopped. Recently this behavior changed and even when 
chatting on the channel from my gmail client i still receive the notifications 
on my phone.

This is not the case with normal chats in gmails.
