Bot always appears offline. #2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set the correct username/password in sampleRobot.py
2. Run the bot.
3. send it a message.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The bot recieves the message, and replies, but is shown as offline.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest SVN. Ubuntu 9.04 (python2.6)

Please provide any additional information below.

This may not be a bug with pygtalkrobot.  i double checked with pidgin and the 
bot is
online, kopete is showing it offline.
