Problem in converting japanese to english

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try putting any japanese word and it will give the same output in 
english
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i see only english

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using netbeans 6 on windows vista

Please provide any additional information below.
you can try some words like sora i.e fly etc to convert to english

when entered sounding words in english which sound like the word in japanese 
the word cant be converted to english
eg:-
"sora" sounding in japanese cant be translated to english "fly"

sora's just a representation of how it sounds using an English alphabet, is it 
not?

How could it translate that? It's neither English nor Japanese?
