Hello, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to express my appreciation for the remarkable repository you've created on GitHub in the field of aging biology. I am currently involved in research related to aging biology, and access to specific information regarding aging-related genes would be immensely beneficial to my work. With that in mind, I kindly request: Could you please share the list of the 5580 aging-related genes? Additionally, if possible, could you provide information about the sources or references from which these genes were collected? I understand that your expertise in this area could greatly assist my research efforts. Your support and cooperation would be highly valued. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards, Shallen

Hi Shallen,

Thank you for your attention to the AgeAnno! Attached pls find the gene summary file. We extracted the genes from the six databases refered in the paper, but we didn't keep the detailed information of each gene. Sorry for that.

Thanks! Kexin gene_summary_last.txt

Thank you very much for your contributions to life sciences. I want to ask, why doesn't the data you provided contain 5580 aging-related genes? In fact, you provided more, but I found that even just the GenAge database, the data you provided does not include all the genes in this database. Why is this?

vikkihuangkexin commented 5 months ago

Hi, @ZouZouZouJiYuan2022

Thanks for the question. We first collected the aging-related genes from six previous databases, then, we performed multiple analysis to annotate these genes, the 5580 genes are the genes that both from previous database and have significant results from our anayses. So it may not contain all genes from GenAge. The 5580 genes is the result after delete duplication, the result files have much more numbers because of the duplication.

Thanks!
