hi,

first of all, thank for interesting app and your work on it. Unfortunately, indicator does not appear on the panel when app is up and running 2807 ? Sl 0:00 indicator-kdeconnect 2916 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kdeconnectd

OS: Ubuntu 14.10 x86_64

When I start appindicator manually I can the screen http://screencloud.net/v/bajm and not able to do any action. KDE Connect on the phone doesn't see desktop as well. Both devices are on the same network. Any suggestion which direction should I dig in?

Thanks!

If First Time Wizard stop at those screen means KDE Connect cannot detect your device in the network. Those screen should automatically changed once your device is detected Make sure your phone is in the same network as your desktop and make sure your Phone have already installed and running KDE Connect application. Turning off firewall might also help. Hope that will help

vikoadi, :+1:

switching fw during setup makes sense - looks, like phone does a separated request to desktop, and fw can block a syn. in my cases it was the following package: Nov 22 10:58:09 main kernel: [144975.066561] [UFW BLOCK] IN=wlan0 OUT= MAC= SRC=192.168.2.106 DST=192.168.2.102 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=64 ID=36962 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=50221 DPT=1714 WINDOW=14600 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0

so, when i switch the fw off, it works - you're absolutely right it would be great if you could update the documentation with the port that should be whitelisted (1714?) :)
