PullToRefresh blinks then hides in Google Chrome #291

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make an app using pullToRefresh, or check the Showcase
2. Notice that you can see the content for a fraction of a second
3. Notice that it goes away

The issue appears here: 
http://mobilegwt.appspot.com/showcase/#PullToRefreshPlace but only in Chrome, 
Firefox behaves as expected.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

18.0.1025.151 (Developer Build 130497 Linux) Ubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.

Disabled all plugins, same behavior anyways.

I am assuming a render bug in Chrome here, no evidence of this in recent 
browsers.
