Right now, it doesn't appear that Travis-CI has an M1 environment, but when it does we should test on it with Big Sur (OSX 11.5) at least, and maybe Monterey (OSX 12).

See this update from Travis-CI. They claim this build environment will be universal to M1 and Intel-based processors.

Also check out the Arm64-based arch options here. I think that's what the M1 chips are.
