Does this break compatibility with SnipMate?

@dsanson, yes, it breaks compatibility with SnipMate, unfortunately.

I haven't kept up on the differences between SnipMate and UtilSnips. Is this the result of a decision by UtilSnips to break compatibility? What is the recommended course of action here?

No idea, I'll check out if there's any compatibility mode, and reopen if found. Cheers.
