https://vimperator.org/ gives a:

Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from vimperator.org (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

in Chrome.

According to https://help.github.com/articles/securing-your-github-pages-site-with-https/ - https is not supported on custom domains, but we should keep this open, to regularly check if that has changed.

It's possible to do this with cloudflare, if we want. Otherwise, yeah, https won't work.

Another option is to move to netlify

Well, given the fact, that vimperator.org's usage will go down drastically once it's not compatible with FF57 anymore, I don't think the effort of moving the site to another hoster is worth it. However, thanks for the suggestion, didn't know netlify, but looks nice.
