Not updating diary index

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.using \w\w to open a new dairy
2.edit the dairy, \w save it and backspace, or, \wi, back to dairy index
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The dairy index should be update with a new item of the date when the new dairy 
was created. 
Instead, there was no new item created in the dairy index.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.01
win7

Please provide any additional information below.
It was possible to access the new dairy by manually create an item link like 
[[2012-09-29]]and press enter. But it was not created automatically while it 
should be.

Please use the VimwikiDiaryGenerateLinks command to update the diary page.  
This has a clean and simple implementation that we find sufficient for our 
needs at the moment.   It has a key-mapping that you can find under ":help 
vimwiki-diary".
