My files are backed up, I am trying to dual boot along side windows, I am using a thumb drive. I have followed the download procedures on the mint website. The download passed the integrity check and the authenticity check! I am able to run Linux mint off of the thumb drive. When I attempt to install Linux mint using the installer I receive the error message. I have followed two different tutorials on fixing the problem with my error message. One was to disable the permission of CD I believe. The other involved bash script and a text editor. Neither of them worked and I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing in the global scope of things! I’m new to bash.

The error message is ubi partman failed with exit code 10.
