Restoring ealier state of an pdf. eg page location/number #13

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open a pdf file
2. close the app
3. open the same pdf file again

It is more like feature than an issue.
If I open the same pdf file then the reader should open it back from the same
state which it doesn't do. It specifically bad for E-ink readers as this apps
is geared for that.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
read from the same state as earlier

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Sony PRS-T1
Android

Please provide any additional information below.
E-Ink reader

Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Use the latest version (0.26.2).

sony build moved to android general build, so use armeabi_v5, also check that
you have free memory on storage

Great orion_viewer_0.26.2_android_armeabi_5.apk works perfectly. Probably the
best pdf reader in terms of effectiveness on Sony PST-T1 in my opinion.
Just one thing E-ink "Fast Refresh" option isn't available on my Sony PST-T1
e-Ink reader. also the brightness option works but seems to have no effect on
the pdf view.
Also there seems to be no way of telling what page number you currently are on.
So it becomes difficult using the "Go To" functionality.

When you open goto dialog it should be opened with current page number!

very true. But u have to tap 2 times just to see the current page number. some
sort of display in one of the corners or a bar on top would be nice.
This is not important (although easy to fix as I assume android will do it for
you if orientation is not fixed for that activity in the manifest.xml) but the
option menu stays in the same place(portrait mode) when the orientation is
changed as well.
Keep up the good work guys and hopefully my minuscule donation helps.

Do you change book orientation (via rotation dialog) or screen orienation (via
options screen)?

via rotation dialog

You can change screen mode (portrait/landscape) via "options/screen orientaion"
preference, rotation dialog just rotate book keeping current screen mode
