Heat while spa pumps on #20

Hi, Great project thank you!

I would expect my 32a tub to continue heating regardless of whether spa jets are on or off. However using homebridge i've noticed that turning jets on causes heater to stop (if spa is below target temp of course). Turning off the jets will then enable heater some seconds later.

Can this be configured?

pumps off but heating (as below target temp) [10/05/2022, 16:17:57] [Spa] State change: Temp: 33.0C, Temp Range: High, Target Temp(H): 36.0C, Target Temp(L): Unknown, Time: 16:17, Priming: false, Heating Mode: Ready, Temp Scale: Celsius, Time Scale: 12 Hr, Heating: true, Pumps: [Off Off ], Circ Pump: On, Filtering: Off, Lights: [false,], Aux: [,]

Switched pumps on, tub still below target temp however heating is then reading 'false' [10/05/2022, 16:19:06] [Spa] State change: Temp: 33.0C, Temp Range: High, Target Temp(H): 36.0C, Target Temp(L): Unknown, Time: 16:18, Priming: false, Heating Mode: Ready, Temp Scale: Celsius, Time Scale: 12 Hr, Heating: false, Pumps: [High Off ], Circ Pump: On, Filtering: Off, Lights: [false,], Aux: [,]

Hello,

I tested with my hot tub. So I do not figure out some behaviour. But my heater acts totally Independent by temperature. I cannot switch off.

May be you set your hot tub to max temperature and test again, if heating is off.

Regards Florian

I will test and revert back my findings. Thanks.

Hi, Tested again with temp set to max (40). Still the same behaviour occurs.

This can also be observed in the Accessories tab - Spa thermostat icon changes from 'red/orange' to indicate heating, to green upon turning pumps on.

I do not have any idea... may be some other users

Hi - what do you observe in the spa control panel display on the spa itself? Does that similarly show a change of heating when controlling the spa via homebridge, but no change of heating when controlling the spa via the display buttons?

Vince.

Hi, I've got to the bottom of this - There was a mis-configuration to spa pack switches from factory. All working as it should now. Many thanks for feedback.
