I'll fix 3.36 issue

rodolpheh commented 4 years ago

Any news on this ? The gnome-shell theme now displays white text on white background or dark text on dark background in a lot of extensions. Also it seems that some icons are missing.

vinceliuice commented 4 years ago

Could you show me some screenshots? @rodolpheh

rodolpheh commented 4 years ago

Here is an exemple of the text disappearing in the gnome shell theme, in the cpupower extension (it also happens in other extensions like NordVPN for example) : image

As for the icons, here is a screenshot of missing icons (plus and minus I think) : image

It also happens in other applications, everytime a plus/minus is supposed to show. For example here it is in gnome-tweak-tool in the number of workspaces settings : image

EDIT: I'm using the canta-gtk-theme-git from AUR

I'm seeing a similar issue as rodolpheh with missing plus/minus icons. I'm running xfce on arch with canta-icon-theme-git from the AUR. It is the only icon theme I have installed that does this. I have also tried uninstalling the AUR package and installing both numix-icon-theme-circle and canta icons directly from git. The same issue persists.
